What is the difference between DDU and DDP?

DDU(Delivered Duty Unpaid): The seller/forwarder delivers the goods to the buyer at the specified destination, but the buyer is responsible for taxes. The seller and forwarder shall bear all costs and risks until the goods are delivered to the designated destination, excluding any "taxes" payable at the destination where customs formalities are required (including the responsibility and risk of customs formalities, and payment of handling fees, duties, taxes and other charges). The buyer must bear this "tax" and the costs and risks arising from its failure to clear the goods for import in a timely manner.

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): The seller/forwarder transports the goods to the designated location in the importing country, pays the tax, and completes the delivery. The seller/freight forwarder is responsible for the import customs clearance and delivery of any import "taxes" payable at the destination when customs clearance is required. Seller bears all costs and risks until delivery to Buyer. If you are a novice and don't know much about shipping, customs, etc., we can help you with these links!
